Scotland National Cricket Team

The Scotland national men’s cricket team (Scottish Gaelic: Sgioba nàiseanta criogaid na h-Alba; Scots: Scotland naitional cricket team) represents Scotland in international cricket. They primarily play their home matches at The Grange in Edinburgh, but also compete at various other venues throughout Scotland.

Scotland became an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1994, following their split from the England cricket team in 1992. Since then, they have participated in three ODI World Cups (1999, 2007, 2015) and five T20 World Cups (2007, 2009, 2016, 2021, 2022). Their first victory in these events came in the 2016 T20 World Cup against Hong Kong. Cricket in Scotland is governed by Cricket Scotland.

Scotland has competed in every ICC Intercontinental Cup, winning the first edition in 2004. From 2010 to 2013, they played in the ECB 40 as the Scottish Saltires.

In April 2018, the ICC granted full Twenty20 International (T20I) status to all its members, making all T20 matches played between Scotland and other ICC members after January 1, 2019, full T20Is.
